You have feeling that Balmung needs a server reset as well?

I don't know what to think. Something is very wrong. That much is obvious. I've never seen this much instability in the server for like... a year. Back when it was still Fabul.
We never had a problem like this in Besaid, but yeah, I used seen this error from Alpha days...when I was playing the on the Jecht..server..
Adding nothing constructive but, I want my character back... also thinking about compiling everything into a neat article and releasing it to the gaming press if nothing happens by tuesday.
Edit: I meant I wasn't adding anything constructive, since it's just me being sad.

There's a lot of player cases...
I checked that too. The (30002) problems had a a lot more input from reps on the japanese forums.
Doesn't look like they were much help, but they were there.
I remember about a week ago, I was doing moogle with a PT. Whole PT froze right after we came out of the fight, literally. Could talk to PT and LS, just couldn't move or use any menu/ability, and seems like every other PT that came out of moogle was having the same problem. We had to force-close the game. Then, none of us could log back in.
After a few attempts at getting back, I just stopped trying and left the game. A few hours later I came back and found out the server had -just- came back up after emergency maintenance.
Seems to me like a similar problem. Maybe there were enough people affected then to justify emergency maintenance. Maybe the 8 of us that got locked up at Howling Eye isn't enough to justify maintenance. Maybe that's why they ignore us, because they know what it is, it's just too inconvenient for them to do something about it. Maybe that's why every time I tried to chat with tech support, I was mysteriously routed to the wrong department, every time. And why the GMs claim they can't move a character while it is not logged in. Anyone who's been jailed knows that's BS. I logged out in uldah, I logged into a jail. And the GM was right there telling me this action was impossible.
Unless of course... there is no character to move.
If these characters are indeed lost to the Void, then this would be a very bad thing to happen at a very sensitive time for FFXIV.
They are investigating the problem right now, I just sent them my whole new thread post in a ticket. So it is forwarded to them right now.
Also character data is there, I see the character in character select, so it's not an issue, it's the instance itself, thinking the parties are still together and didn't expect everyone to d/c at once.

Clearly if the number of cases is not enough we must trick enough balmung players into trying out garuda to escalate the magnitude of the issue!
