It's not about contention.

I actually wouldn't mind having an icon for legacy on the forums, but that's just because I would like the forum profiles to show more information in general, not just because of legacy or anything like that.

Yeah I know what you mean, but neither the account screen or your character select screen are "public". As for in-game there will be the black tip chocobo (eh), but just displaying more info on your forum profile is something I would like to see. Maybe stuff like your current in-game title, achievement score, stuff like that.

At least for me it's not about flaunting anything (I'm really not that incredibly rich or far into the game to boast anything) but it's just cool to see more about who's posting.
