My god, you seriously are an idiot. You are arguing against something that, if fixed, would probably encourage more forbidden meld attempts by the community as a whole with no downside. There would be no trading and no need to shout in ul'dah unless you were in a hurry. You can afk in town for 10 minutes and come back with your gear either melded or broken. Having forbidden melds handled the same way as single melds is just simply a better idea than how it is now, no matter what the driving force behind the decision was, be it anti-theft countermeasures or convenience.

I swear, you people would argue that a breathable atmosphere is a bad idea if someone you viewed as a troll came up with it.
