I soloed 1-25, partied 25-30, soloed 25-45. Leves and quests (main/side). OMG the quests! If it wasn't for the storyline, I would probably have went insane from grinding.
I work full-time M-F and play on the weekends. It is possible to get 50 in a month.![]()
There's no real locations in particular, you just need to explore (or look up) locations and find mobs 5-8 levels higher than you with plenty of them around so you don't have to wait for more to spawn. If you get Cure, Second Wind, and Bloodbath and equip those 3 it should be easy enough to solo on LNC especially if you keep Life Surge on.
Depends upon your level, I leveld before they changed to this system after getting rid of physical level.
I currently PL 30-40 off Kakrul fleece droping sheep south of Downy Dunstin Takes a few hours. You could do any mob 10 levels higher than the one leveling. ( two people in my shell just pl'd 3 people in 2 days to 50 but that was them switching off pling each other and they did it in cobberbell mines off cadaevers and zombie type mobs {note if you kill human type mobs you get an exp bonus}) People normaly pl off of raptors but they are useually overcamped.
I've been told 1-4 leves per level for below 30, and you can pick up 8 leves, store up to 99 leves so 88 leves = 22 levels + or minus but if you stored up rested bonus you could proabably get lvl 30 then get pld on decent high level mobs from 30-40 then in a perfect wolf party can get 40-50 in 1-2hrs

D: And here I thought getting to 50 was supposed to mean something lol. Well it will still take me forever only playing an hour a day and currently at level 21 for LNC. :P
Cool to know though!

Time for another noob question from me! What is a spiritbound party?? Apologies if this is something simple and I'm just overlooking easily accessible information.
Cool insights. Thanks for tips.
I just hit lvl 29 last night, so soon I will have to try and see if I can find people who will want to group up to level up together. My leve allowance is also running pretty low, so soon I won't be able to get exp or gil from them
I am going to try to get to lvl 30 tonight. I noticed that a lot of people don't like talking in-game though (or at least on my server) :/
Spiritbond party is a party that has lvl 50 people doing all the work; however, they can spiribond gear to break down gear for materia since they cannot spiritbond and powerlevel people 11 levels below them. 40-50 are spiritbond partys. Spiritbond is how you make materia from gear.

"Spiritbond" or "SB" is related to the Materia system. Essentially, when you get XP, your gear gains "spiritbond." When the spiritbond meter is full on that particular piece of gear, you can convert that piece of gear into materia. (Go into your inventory, click on the item, and then choose "Create Materia.") This will destroy the piece of gear and give you a piece of materia.
Materia basically offers stat buffs, like +4 Strength or +4 Accuracy. Different pieces of gear can be converted into several different types of materia. There are 4 levels of Materia, with the highest levels of materia usually coming from gear that's made for levels 41 and above.
The materia can then be attached to a new piece of gear, sold (to NPCs or other players), or stored for future use. The process of attaching materia to gear is called "melding." You have to use a "catalyst" to meld the materia to a piece of gear. Catalysts can be obtained through gathering or bought from the Market Wards.
In order to start converting gear into materia, you have to first complete a quest. You need to have at least one crafting class at level 18 (other than Alchemist or Culinarian). Then you go talk to an NPC goblin north of Camp Black Brush. He'll have you walk through a couple of steps, and then give you the ability to convert items into materia and meld it to gear.
Here's a more detailed explanation of the materia/SB process.
SB parties are groups that wear cheap gear while killing as many mobs as quickly as possible so everyone can SB their gear. They then convert the gear into materia, and either sell or use the materia. (The best pieces of materia right now usually sell for over a million gil on the Market Wards.) SB parties are essentially grind parties, only the point is to level up your clothes.![]()
