    What other Elements from the FF series would you like to see?

    The Title speaks for itself. So far things like the Crystal Tower from FFIII, Magitek Armor from FFVI, Golden Saucer and Limit breaks from FFVII have been confirmed. FFVI is my favorite game in the series and seeing them add Magitek Armor, as well as familiar monsters like Typhon breeds a kind of nostalgia for me, and the more elements they take from FFVI, the better.

    With the addition of new zones and keeping the possibility future of expansions in mind, one thing I would like to see is a town Similar to ZoZo. I always loved the ZoZo theme and I think a bleak and rainy city of lying thieves, puzzles, rare loot and ample opportunities to get pick pocketed would bring a unique feel to the world of FFXIV.

    FFVI was also the first Final Fantasy game that contained a massive cast of 14 unique playable characters and dungeons like the "Phoenix Cave" and "Kefka's Tower" put them all to use. With content that revolves around alliances, I feel dungeons similar to the "Phoenix Cave" and "Kefka's Tower, where the alliance has to split up into 2 or 3 parties, solve puzzles and fight monsters that allow the other parties to progress through the dungeon, ending with the alliance reuniting and fighting an extremely powerful boss at the end of the dungeon would be an interesting form of content.

    I could go on about what other element from FFVI that I would like to see in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn ( Similar FFVI OST, more FFVI monsters, an Ultros to go with that Typhon, and an Endgame boss with the kind of insanity that Kefka displayed ), but I am interested in hearing what other elements from the Final Fantasy series that people would like to see in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Any thoughts?

    In almost all FF:
    Vehicles:
    Drive-able vehicles, particularly airships. Can consider the current mounts ground vehicles, but in a lot of the FF's there are ground, sea, and air). Obviously air and sea would probably be long after 2.0 launch - for good reason they would need a long time to make sure it comes in correctly and not cheesy.

    Encouraged Exploring:
    Sometimes you needed some requirement (items/abilities/monster dead) but you would be rewarded for going out of your way and exploring. As it is now you just waste your time not following the line. I'd like to look out for caves and hidden paths - finding cool monsters and treasures that arent readily obvious. I'd like to use my choco or my own jumping to get to places (could be auto jumped (so bad jumpers arent punished) - this way the auto jumping could also do things usually not possible like scale a cliff).

    Less random shit:
    So much of FFXI/XIV is just about luck then it is about being good at something. Some dude goes to do ifrit 9 times and gets all the weapons another does it 30 times and just makes 9 totems and loads of dark matter.

    Cooler Moogles:
    Right now moogles are pretty meh - most looking like a general plushy, and there are no named ones (that are treated like such - characters with something worth reading).

    Jaw Dropping and Varied Fantasy Towns:
    Each FF always had that one town whether in the sky, water flowing castles, or a maze of steel - power plants and decks. 2.0 footage shows they are working to that FF look, but I really hope there is just that town that makes you want to turn off the lights, lean back, and weep. Which while Juno was neat neither FF11 or FF14 had anything on the other FF's (at least while i played). Also, each FF usually took you across extremely varied hamlets, villages, and mega cities. In 1.0 besides the cities nothing is really varried, and the cities didnt make my jaw drop (albeit they are not horrible either).

    Some I can think of right now.. (sorry for listing mostly recent ones.. the graphics of the time help make it jaw dropping lol)
    Chocobo home, the giant tree city in the desert (FF9), Balamb Garden, Treno, Golden Saucer, Zeal (yes i know.. not FF but its from SE :P) - actually 9 has a lot of unique zones.. lol in FF10 when you see the Far Plain (where the dead rest)

    FF9 (In mind but others have some of this too):

    Chocobo Treasure Hunting, Card Game (Please dont make it a real life purchase to get cards... >.>)

    FF10/12/13:
    Sphere Grid, Licence System, Crystarium..
    If they put in a merit system I hope they do it more similar to their previous games - and not how it was implemented in 11.

    I agree with the OP ideals, and here is my own.

    FFXII style Judges, floating cities in the sky.

    Ultima, Omega, and more weapon bosses.

    I want to see knights of the round make a come back.

    different versions of bahamut. perhaps summoners can get the essence of them.

    In order of preference:
    1. FFI/FFIX: The 'Four Fiends' (in themed dungeons) - NOTE: we are getting Tiamat, so just need the other 3.
    2. FFV/FFXII: Gilgamesh - The FFXII version especially
    3. FFXII: The Zodiac Espers .. even if only as bosses.
    4. FFIV: Exploration of other landscapes like the Moon, and Underworld
    5. FFXI: The Ark Angels (updated for this game)
    6. FF Tactics: An Engineer/Chemist style job - can AOE heal/debuff using potions.
    7. FFXIII: colossal mobs like the Adamantoise/Gaint Cactuar/Neochu/etc.
    8. FFVI/FFIX: Auction house with live bidding
    9. FFXII: Zones that change with weather/seasons - Like Giza Plains dry/rainy variations
    10. FFVIII: Triple Triad (or similar casual past-time)

    Chocobo Forest.....not sure why, but I'd love to see this in XIV. It would be nostalgic.

    • I would love to see a card game. I spent more time than I thought I would playing the card game in IX.
    • Exploration rewards. Interesting lore, bosses, events. I would love to see player who love the lore enough to explore the game and pay attention to the little details be rewarded with their knowledge.

    Want to add that's also in pretty much all FF:

    Crazy crazy end game zones (or crazy zones in general). On the moon, in space that's inside a castle that's forever building, inside the world, fighting while a meteor drops on you, inside the boss you just fought, the boss you are fighting is size of a small city, such like this is sorely missing. (Nael Van Darnus was a step in the right direction, though he was very small - so many tiny bosses). I'd like to see a boss that is a zone, have to dungeon crawl through destroying keypoints (like a grander Sin fight from FF10).
