Retainer data + November Shut down?

Come November shut down... will the retainer's bazaar data transfer over as well? Should I get my items and gil from the retainer before November?

Everything present on the server on Nov 1st will be saved and there for ARR. Depending on how they change the inventory systems, it's hard to say how retainer will work but it's very unlikely they'll not have the items unless they chop the inventory down.

there will be a sort of chest that you can retrieve from when 2.0 hits, because in 2.0, your inventory will go back to being 100, might be the same for retainer, so they will be depositing them in some safe place so that you can retrieve them after 2.0 launch.

Didn't they say they are reducing inventory from 200 to 100? iirc If thats the case then may need to do some work before servers go down

Yes, but I think that gear may not occupy the same storage space as other items due to the gearset system. We'll have to wait and see on this I think.

This has been confirmed in a few interviews. Gear assigned to class/job 'gearsets' will not take up space in your inventory.

Aww that's unfortunate...I've enjoyed the 200 space... its XI all over again.

Err, I have more than enough space in FFXI between Capped Storage, 80 Inv Slots, Mog Safe, Mog Locker, Mog Satchel, Mog Sack and Porter Moogle.

Considering you're probably new, you didn't know that the 200 slots was a temporary increase as well as the 9,999 stack sizes.

Yes we will be loosing the 200 inv slots, but they will be adding an NPC to ARR and some of our things will be given to that NPC for us to collect. I imagine its the same for retainer storage.
