With the current and 2.0 nope. Never used MySQL. FFXIV is almost entirely .NET based technology. It won't be after 2.0.

Aye. One thing that makes me happy is that they're rebuilding everything. Not just client side but server side as well. I hope that the new system gives better performance to go along with the more fast-paced combat that we are to expect.
