i'm ok with this if they can really improve the gameplay a lot.

While the animations are nice... if I have to sacrifice turning animations in order to be able to move while using abilities/weapon skills, then so be it >.>
Not saying we can't have both, but there comes a point where the trade off will be better for the community as a whole
Its funny. I thought you were implying the subject of this thread was objectively insignificant for a second.
Oh wait you are.
lol.
Humanity Protip : Things that don't mean a thing to you, could mean the world for someone else.

Also, i really don't think its a good trade off. If i wanted my character to feel and move this way, i could play any other mmo on the market. They are trading something unique, to implement something everyone has..
Welcome to this generation of MMO players, they will find and complain about anything these days. The thing is, because devs are currently replying to the player base, then the player base seems to think they hold power over the devs, so they spam complaints after complaints after complaints. You get used to it after awhile but 98% of FFXIV forums are full of trash complaints.
2.0 looks great and they have had to put ALOT of work into it, they spent 2yrs trying to fix the game when they could have just trashed it because it was that bad, but instead they decided to spend a fortune on trying to fix the game so that Final Fantasy players could enjoy a more upto date MMO instead of the now old-ish FFXI.
Hats off to Yoshida and his team, it seems they really have pulled off the impossible.
FOR THE HONOUR OF MY BELOVED SQUARE ENIX!
Yes, YOU could play any other MMO on the market. The animations were one unique thing FFXIV had, among other things. Trust me, if you want them to develop more interesting encounters beyond Tank and Spank (which I hope you would), then they need to make sure the gameplay isn't hamstringed by trying to capture minor animations. And yes, this is assuming you want to do more than solo quests and run around camps for hours on end. Any successful MMO has had a focus on gameplay over graphics, and those MMO's can do incredibly complex encounters due to quick player and server responsiveness.
I keep bringing this back to gameplay, because the dev's have stated it's a gameplay/graphics conflict. Someone here replied to me stating that "Not every fight is like Ifrit". I would counter that any fight worth it's salt requires quick repositioning and avoiding certain attacks/environmental damage.
Ah, come on, have a lol.
And why the long post is bothering you? You can either read these people's quotes or simply go to the page you want to go. I don't get the inconvenience. I really want people to read what these people have to say. I'll start removing pre-confirmation quotes though.
No. You just quoting people agreeing with you, and in my home this is called bringing grist to your mill, other then be a patchwork op. Sorry, but i don't care anymore of this topic, is becoming more another grass/goobbue/enmity meter topic: pointless, and after 1 day after launch nobody will care againAh, come on, have a lol.

The thread is now about suggesting those animations to come back, what am i suppose to quote? People that don't care about these animations?
This is like someone that promotes an idea of a Mog race quoting people that are not interested.
