and that wasn't always a problem back in the day a LvL 50 Could Solo a Lvl 75 Mob easy.
I have to agree they messing up most part of the game to make sure PVP works and plays. It's like how many people are really going to do PVP? in FFXIV anyways? I don't mind pvp but i wont be wasting my time doing it.
Let's hope that 1-2years down the roads pvp don't mess up more PVE stuff for us.

you are out of the subjet we are talking about dying to see if a new , high level only ennemy detect you with sound or vision
not a monster that you could know it otherwise or a monster that you could killed as solo .
And if your efforts and those who agree with you to change what you don't like about it don't succeed through rational reasonable methods, then you will have to deal with that when it comes. They've already stated that alpha and beta will be of indeterminate length for the expressed purpose of giving the devs adequate time to respond to the input of the testers. If what we are given in beta is widely panned by the testers, they will probably make changes, but if too many people don't hate it, then it may not be changed and that will be disappointing. At this point the reasonable response will be to speak with your wallet and vacate the subscription. It's one of those downfalls to the hobby we have all chosen, that it is controlled to such a degree by so many other people and it can change in ways we do not enjoy. Do what you can to make the changes you would enjoy seeing but stop throwing buzzwords and insults, making changes and influencing opinions is harder to do when you act like a jackass.
I literally lol'ed with that last statement.
So what do you expect a Malboro is going to do? These things are great for people who like to actually adventure in a game. The unknown can be a great tool to make the world feel much more deep.
XI did it well, not too many people were suprised as to what something agrod to a few minutes after it was released, because people went and found that shit out.
You don't seem to understand i said it was stupid to die to learn how to avoid a mob !
So I've taken a look at the (lack of) animations in question and I'm really not seeing what the huge deal is. Like I said before maybe I just don't get this "immersion" thing as well as I should but it doesn't look like it would detract from the experience for me. The stops are more abrupt, that's about it. They still do have a little half-step in there but because of how quick it is you often don't see it.
I just don't see this as much of a deal breaker. Watching the video I still feel as immersed as I ever have watching anything with FFXIV. I didn't even notice the lack of this animation until it was pointed out, even though I watched every video we've got for 2.0.
The animations in 1.0 are a bit longer but I really don't see why this warrants a 600+ post discussion with people raging fairly hard over the dev's decision. Maybe it's just me though but I don't see it.
I'm not going to be nice or sugarcoat anything. i tire of that approach besides it didn't work before, its not going to work now.And if your efforts and those who agree with you to change what you don't like about it don't succeed through rational reasonable methods, then you will have to deal with that when it comes.
