    At the very least, I hope what was shown at the Live Event isn't what we'll have at launch... As pretty as the world is, suddenly seeing the characters we've grown to love start walking/running like something from the Elder Scrolls game will be really jarring.

    I wasn't worrying before, but dammit, I am now ><.

    EDIT: I understand getting rid of the start/stop animations, but why change the way we run entirely? I think I should jump in my time machine and hop forward to launch, 'cause now I'm in full panic mode and I wasn't before. Damn you forums!

    I'd prefer they keep the movement animations from 1.0 for ARR tbh.

    The running animation in ARR is less modern and less fluid than FFXI.

    I just wanted to remind you that IT'S BEEN ALMOST A DECADE, and we have already seen and got used to the godly animations we currently have.

    And you're "fine" with their decision to throw the current animation in the garbage, and replace it with a decade old one, just to rush the new game on consoles earlier?

    I guess some people really deserve bad games.

    I would rather stop immediately then have an animation that drags on for an extra 2-3 seconds.

    Remove animation lock when going from passive to active, and fix the stopping on active mode. They don't have to throw out the whole current animation to solve this problem, unless they're really really rushing this game out.

    They kind of are. This will be pretty much the only MMO in history to be relaunched like this. It's not like they can't rework this into the game later, that or they feel like it isn't necessary to have.
