So what's the future like this time of year, since you seem to know everything about it?You know what I noticed. Unfinished animations, it was glaring, it was far from finished product. Of course I am not saying what we saw was fine, but I also used a conscience logical cognitive thought process because it was very obvious, we were looking at an unfinished product. If you honestly think those animations are finished? That whole stop and keep running for 2 seconds after they stopped. or for 2 seconds if they turned or started moving. That told me it is not finalized. I am not making excuses... honestly, it is not finished. I would quit immediately if that was final product but I know it isn't so I am not freaking out about it.
He never implied he knows the future, he just said that based on what he saw, he assumes that the animation is not finalised.
Anyway, i would still have problems with it if its a "finalised" version of what we see now though. Based on how it feels as i move my character i'll decide if i'll continue playing or not.

have you even watched the trailer..?
i mean look closely.. very closely at the animations
->>>here<<<<- you can see how much detail the sword technique of the paladin has... he throws shortly his sword into the air and grabs it back..
look at it closely and say the animations in a total have been downgraded..
And then... look back to Alpha footage of 1.0.
Does <<this>> looks so much better to you? for me totally not.. (Combat animations). it just looks like pinocchio.

I didn't see any ridiculous-looking strafing in that alpha footage. I think you're probably the one that needs to look at the 2.0 videos again. Especially the latest one from the live letter.have you even watched the trailer..?

They were obviously going for this type of movement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbYbh...ailpage#t=145s
And failed tremendously.
We're not talking about weaponskills. We're talking about the way our characters move through the map.have you even watched the trailer..?

Please, read the OP.
Also, yes. The pre-alpha 1.0 footage, on the first ever gameplay video ever shown of FFXIV, had infinitely better movement animation than 2.0 footage.
