because time and time again we see how far focusing on gameplay gets you, its the developers easy card is what it is. if the story isn't engaging, if the game cant hold your attention then gameplay is worth nothing. FFXIV had something different i liked it. now it simply aims to be like all the rest.
i subbed FF14 for a year, now i wish i could just get all my money back. from what i see the chances of me playing FF14 2.0 is very slim
Well it's a game so gameplay should be first in game no ?because time and time again we see how far focusing on gameplay gets you, its the developers easy card is what it is. if the story isn't engaging, if the game cant hold your attention then gameplay is worth nothing. SWTOR had good gameplay but it was gd repetitive it didn't mean nothing same with Aion. FFXIV had something different i liked it. now it simply aims to be like all the rest.
i subbed FF14 for a year, now i wish i could just get all my money back. from what i see the chances of me playing FF14 2.0 is very slim
If having too much realistic animation makes the gameplay suck then the game will sucks .
if you want to have good animation stuffs and good graphics it's not in games but in movies and other videos .
The trailer and title song Answers are what sparked my interest in FFXIV. "the land's alive, so believe"
FFXIV as it is now actually feels like a living world that I can play in. The graphics quality, aethestics, and even the animation so impressed me when I started, and continue to be a large part of what I enjoy here. I had never been interested in video games before, but FFXIV feels like more than just a game and that is what hooked me.
Of course I will wait for ARR, and I will try it when it is released. But if it turns out to be "just a game" where I sit in my chair, push buttons and watch this digital "thing" move around on the screen ... I'm not sure if it will continue to hold my interest as it has done every day for the past 2 years.
