Two part question thread, woot.

Ok, first off - I've seen it said in a couple different dev/rep posts about how updates will be better come 2.0, I suppose faster, or more easier streamlined to us, something.

Anyways, my question is this - What is this going to actually be like? Are we still talking about updates like they are now, with periodic updates on the lodestone with a specific maintenance day? Or are we expecting something like what we're experiencing in GW2 with an update that's been happening like every day?

Now, while the latter isnt necassarily a bad thing, it is nice to have the updates coming in. The thing that irritates me about this is you're forced to update your client to take the new files while in game, it will forcefully restart your game no matter what you're currently doing. That's annoying.

The other question - Dyamnic Lightning that can occur day, night and in dungeons..the part I'm curious about. Are we going to have torches in dungeons that provide the light we need to see around, perhaps making it so we need to also light the torches to have light to manevour by? On that same thought, the torches can be pulled from their cradles and taken with parties to light the paths we travel, or thrown at certain things/creatures for additional damage or, say like, a cache of explosives for environmental effects. Just thoughts, would like to hear from the XIV team though.
