I was thinking the exact same thing! And their auto-attack motion? I would think they'd slap/whack the enemy with it more so than throw it, like OP is speculating.

Haha, well it seems like he is hinting at a unique type of auto attack, so I am guessing it is more ranged like spirit dart used to be.

Gotta love the extra S's. Thanks for the post. Can't believe Summoner won't be using Carbuncle. Being able to "borrow" the power of Primals, looks like they'll be able to do what BLM can't, actually cast things other than Thunder.

Don't forget, class/job skills will work differently in 2.0, so we don't know how BLM will be yet. lol Everything in 1.0 will not be carried over. Skills are being re-worked.

They were joking about the book being thrown at enemies, but didn't actually say how it's going to be

Depends. They could do weaver or leatherworker too.

Weavers turns plants into fiber and creates the pages, which a leatherworker could take and turn into a leather-bound book.

Maybe they'll just add a new crafting class for all the book crafting? Maybe add paper wards & seals for other jobs to use?

I very much believe this could be a hint at a new crafting class. Scribe perhaps? Aside from books there could be consumable scrolls added to the game. Idk, just a thought though. He seems a bit too secretive about it for them to be made by Alchemists.

If you look at the other classes on the new FFXIV website, there are two main boxes that state, "Coming soon." That leaves me to believe that we may get a new crafting and gathering class(es).
