    From FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Alpha Tester Application Site:

    * Application Requirements
    - Must currently have an active FINAL FANTASY XIV account

    * Please Note:
    - Testers are limited to one application per person. Duplicate entries will be voided.

    Seriously? I meant on the application making process.
    I though my account was active. Did you checked ur account before applying to see if it was active?
    I didnt either. And that is the WARNING i'm talking about. If you try to make an Application without having a XIV account registered in your SE account it will pop up a message saying: "You need a Final Fantasy XIV account linked to your Square Enix account to register in the Alpha test version."

    I don't see what the big deal is on the alpha. I was stated there won't be much to do on the Alpha.
    Basically it will be stress areas. they will get people to log on in certain areas. Only parts of Gridania and the new Black Shroud area will be available. If this is like most Alphas there won't be much if any quests, maybe a smidge of story, and some mobs. On top of that the servers will be down most of the time as they schedule the load testing.

    I am already expected a bunch of people to leak what they see and whine about the bugs and issues. I am already seeing whining and blaming just on the application, I can't imagine what will happen when the alpha has issues for you.

    People treat testing as an early preview, so no one should really be excited for it since we know their excitement isn't for writing out detailed bug reports.

    Personally, I enjoy helping because I'm weird like that. When everyone was playing the game in Beta, I was running around at lvl 3 trying to do weird shit in weird places to see if it would mess up the game, lol. I enjoy having a job like looking for bugs.

    Yep, it's mostly the early days of Beta testing it was like that generally. I'm usually the only one actually trying to find bugs and manipulate systems lol. These days its the developers fault for treating Betas as early access and consider it "in testing" incase their early access is buggy so they can tell people:

    "Oh uh yeah it's a beta, so that gamebreaking bug of your character skyrocketing out of the skybox randomly was an unfortunate bug in the beta build!"

    Player: "But you said this was early acces-"

    "BETA!"
