You will get to play on the server type you want. It just won't be immediate. Just relax, and it will come. They know a lot of people are going to want to switch, and the new servers will have a low pop initially, and they've said before that we will get a one time transfer to another world if we want it.

The issue is if you're stuck in a JP server, there won't be new non-JP players joining your server.

It's a non-issue because the same english players that were on your server before will still be there.

I have almost nobody to play with now due to lack of English players on my server its majority of JP only groups. Was looking forward to getting to do endgame but now I am getting told, wait a few months even longer after waiting for the game to come out. I don't have a endgame LS, English shout groups are few and far between.

I'm on the same server as you are and there are a lot of English players. I'm not sure what time you play at, but I see a good portion of English speaking players on at any time of the day. Just this week I did some late night raiding with a group of all NA players (4-7am est). I also see shouts happening almost the whole time I'm on be it English or Japanese...I even see Spanish shouts at times. Even then most of the JPs are pretty open to letting anyone join their parties if you just send them a tell with auto-translates. Even if you aren't comfortable with that, like I said, I've never found a shortage of English speaking players to do content with.

As you can see..I never post, but I'm just confused how we are on the same server yet seem to have a hugely different opinion on the overall experience of the same server. But, good luck in game and I hope 2.0 brings you more the server style you're looking for. Myself personal enjoy the diversity of the servers and never ran into an issue with them being the way they are and most I know have never had any issues that I've heard about.

Just because you have a static group of people playing with does not warrant all other players are the same. Not to mention the population will only get worse since new players will all be the people from whereever the server region is. Some people already have a hard time finding groups in their preferred language and they'll just have a worse experience as time goes on.

In addition, I certainly do not wish my friends joining ARR and find it to be a foreign land where everyone speaks a foreign language that they do not understand.
