I suppose I don't really have any real right to say otherwise, because I am not a die hard final fantasy fan, I own 5 of them but never beat them.

I come from a more western fantasy background, tho I do really enjoy all of FFIX's music.

There are several other guitar-driven tunes from the game that I think are great, too. This prog-rocky stuff has always been part of Final Fantasy.

You bring up fantastic points, I just don't know anymore, I guess the music I linked was just played to much during battle, If I have the option to turn off battle music I think, I wouldn't let those songs get boring.
