    Congestion/latency

I was advised to notify support about what I've been experiencing to see if the can inquire about getting the nodes fixed. My connection severely lags when it hits los angeles.

I even have still issues using MudFish when I bypass los angeles. It's very frustrating trying to play with spikes over 200ms.
Also reported under Reporting Packet Loss and Lag, as suggested.

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!

That sounds incredibly frustrating. Dealing with lagging speeds and network congestion is never a good experience, and I’m truly sorry you're running into this.

If Mudfish is still lagging when you try to bypass LA, it's likely because the game item is still auto-routing you through standard paths, or you are experiencing a configuration conflict. Try this specific fix:

Switch to Full VPN Mode: Some game item scripts fail to capture all of FFXIV's server traffic during instanced content. Go to Mudfish Settings > Program, enable Full VPN Mode, and manually choose a node located in Northern California or San Jose instead of LA.

I hope this resolves the issue. Please let me know if you need anything else.
