In the Anaheim Fan Fest Keynote, it was announced that the developers would add the ability the toggle on/off certain parts of gear pieces. I'm looking forward to this feature, as I think there's a lot of gear in FFXIV that suffer from having too much visual noise, so it would make me happy to be able to turn off extraneous belts and bling. One thing I'm worried about is that the parts of gear that become toggleable aren't the parts that I would want to toggle. So I'm making a thread where us players can make suggestions for how we think that gear toggle should be implemented for specific pieces of gear.

I'll start by sharing how I want the gear toggle to be implemented for the Archmage's Coat, with this crude mock-up I've made in MS Paint. The mannequin on the left shows the original version, what the gear looks like right now, and the mannequin on the right shows how I would want the gear to look with the gear toggle on.

What I want the most is the ability to toggle off the black undershirt on the Archmage's Coat. I also wouldn't mind being able to toggle off some of the extraneous details, and the tassels on the front, but being able to toggle the black undershirt is the most important to me.
