Now that we know the servers are ending on November 1s/11th does that mean people who need one more month get it?

From reading his letter it appears his comment about September 30th and getting free play was applied to after the server save goes down on the first of November and the possible revive of the servers after that -just for fun.


Unless the order in which he states information - it appears October is a pay for month. And that those who have two months paid will have their legacy in October.

Yes Legacy payment plan - I wasn't aware of anything else legacy like in FFXIV..

You need 3 months paid to make legacy - at any point in 2012 before beta starts. To be guaranteed legacy you had to get that 90 day plan but that wasn't the cut off of legacy that was the cut off of 90 day plan. The cut off for legacy is on the legacy main page on lodestone; which says before beta begins (not alpha).

What i was asking is, does it appear October is a pay for month or not? From my reading it does, but maybe its just bad translation order or something. He mentions free time, but he mentions that right after talking about 10 days of no character saves and the possibility of bringing in a few more months of no character save just to keep the community together - So i felt this didnt relate to October (in which characters are still being saved).

The official deadline has always been before 2.0 beta -starts-, which from their 2.0 pdf they released (a long time ago) was going to start around late October. Recently some reps talked about may 31st as being a guaranteed legacy.

So.. Not sure why you wouldn't feel special - this is all within the "special period" still. Unless you just dont want anyone else to have what you have.. kinda selfish - being selfish because the time period is still allowed and yet you dont want people to be allowed.

She's not being selfish, since the program itself was indeed designed to reward the people who stuck with the game even when it went P2P, not a promotion for a quickgrab of a lifetime discount.

The deadlines are closed so it's extremely unlikely to get Legacy status now since as a new player, the deadline was May 31st and those with 90 day plans, the deadline was June 30th. So if you quit in January when it started for example, then resubbed now, you will not get it.

The deadline is before the start of beta - they are not closed. Those rep posts before talking about may 31st where only giving a "for sure time" to get legacy. I've talked to their customer service previously.

And its not your place to judge who can come in or not, its not a quick grab for a discount if they allow it - which "their" (SE) requirements for legacy indeed do. Anybody who supports the game for 3 months before beta, that's their requirement.

Yeah, under this exact same impression.

My friend just got legacy this month by paying per month. And SE official lodestone legacy page explicitly says before the start of beta, so the deadline is variable - not static as some like to suggest.

Been playing since 1.0 beta... thought legacy was only for people who paid through out the torment~
