Nope, I'd much rather see SMN. It's more of a unique class as opposed to "another type of caster" since they have their minions and whatnot. From an outsider standpoint, White Mage, Black Mage and Red Mage are all just "mages", sure the specifics of what they do may be different, but they're still just caster type classes. Summoner on the other hand has pets and minions, which adds to the attractiveness of the job and puts it apart from the other DoM.
