I love the new A Realm Reborn limit break trailer. One of the most exciting aspects of it is being able to see some of the new environments we'll be traversing in 2.0. I can't wait to get out and explore that world!

What worries me, however, is the possibility that (as in the current version) many of the buildings in the world will only serve as decoration. I remember being disappointed the first time I made my way to one of the towers in La Noscea, only to find that it didn't have an inside. I ran around the periphery of the structure looking for something I could at least interact with. Finding nothing, I gave up and walked away. Eventually I stopped bothering to check out landmarks such as this, because I knew there was nothing to see.

One of the most beautiful scenes in the new trailer depicts the characters riding on chocoback past a row of gigantic windmills that look like they might be located in 2.0's La Noscea. While this gets me really excited to jump into the new Eorzea, I can't help but worry that I might find those windmills to be just as hollow as the towers that dot the landscape of the current world.

That's why I'm hoping that this time things will be different. I hope that A Realm Reborn will open up the world for us to explore. I want to go inside those windmills and find out what's there. I'd really love it if I could climb to the top and look out over the world below. And while it may be asking too much, I hope that this time I'll get the chance to actually explore Ul'dah's intricate towers and opulent rooms.

The world of A Realm Reborn offers almost limitless potential for exploration, if only it unlocks its doors.
