Complete the main story line, Unlock Jobs (Paladin) > Obtain Artifact armor from quests + unlock Paladin Spells/Weapon Skills. Beat Darkhold Dhzmel, Aurum Vale, Cutter's Cry, and do a lot of Hamlet Defense for gear/seals (Inferno Seal, Vortex Seal, Titan Seal - you need 3 of each to start the quest: A Relic Reborn - for relic weapon). Level Botanist or Miner to 50 for hamlet defense, and level Conjurer/White Mage > Thaumaturge/Black Mage > Pugilist/Monk in that order. You may also need to level ranger/archer for chamelon/quelling strike and lancer/dragoon for invigorate. Buy normal quality (non+1) accessories and meld all your gear with at least one Materia. Also don't forget to do the Van Darnus fight and all the limited time quests. You got 2 months till the last day on November first, from then on anything you do will not be saved for 2.0 FFXIV: A Realm Reborn.
