Arcanist and Summoner artwork

Am i the only one who does not like the idea of the summoner artwork?

The AF seems dark and evil, that of a black mage.. and summoning essences , what should this mean? i hope we get clearification, when they upload the presentation on youtube.

will summoners summon versions of ifrit for just a single attack or what does that picture shows?
im hoping NOT.
i was also hoping for other summons than the typical ones..
that means Siren will be a primal boss, like fenrir as well?

There is precedent for black mage summoners [Rydia, Terra], and quite frankly that's the direction I would like for Summoners in FFXIV. The whole white mage summoner kick is old and stale.

I'm most concerned about the summons themselves though - if I'm just summoning a nebulous blob most of the time I'll be pretty disappointed.

Love the armor, would rather have a whip/staff than a book.

If we're talking about the few instances prior to later games in terms of 'precedents', WHM should have been part of the Archer branch and not BRD.

agreed x_x personally I would rather have summons out but need to wait on more info I am however excited at least I get to be a Summoner again >,>/ the other facts aside~ the way it shows though just means SMN limit break could be freaking amazing o.o;
