This is Archanist:
Main weapon is "Book", going to be a pet class, and will most probably make it at ARR launch.
Pros:

• Puts DOTs on enemies
• Debuffs enemies

There are 2 types of Carbuncle: Tank-type, Caster-type (they're going to be different visually)




And Summoner (and this is his AF gear):
Will use the powers of the primals? or gets his power from their essence? Didn't get it >.<;;. Will not make it at launch, but will be in one of the earlier patches after launch.
Compared to Archanist:

• More pet types
• More powerful pet actions

Summoner is going to summon a piece of the Primals, similar to FFXI. We aren't really summoning them, that's what we get to do with the Free Company Summon System. Instead, we are summoning their essense. A fraction of themselves.

So, Arcanist will use Carbuncle for DoT, Tanking, and Casting purposes. Summoner, on the other hand, will be able to summon the essense of the Primals. Makes sense.

I wonder if summoning a primal with a company will boost summoners-of-that-company's summoned essences of that primal... would be an interesting concept

Oh, I'm kind of disappointed to see that they summon primals (Or essences, whatever). I was really hoping to see them use the more unique and underused summons, not the same Ifrit and Shiva again
