I don't mindd the keychain personally. Adds a bit of SE flavor to my house keys (which never leave my side)

I've been using the same one since they were released for XI so that been at least one use a day -- sometimes several -- for about four years.

Token have a very long life some people had there ffxi one for years if it does die you could call SE they unregister it for you and you can order a new one.

I'd like an incentive (other than for security purposes) to get the authenticator. In ff11, you were given an extra inventory that correlates with your main invo and in a certain other mmo, I've heard you get a pet just for having that feature.

If you actually read the forum post xquiel linked it has some pretty neat information about the plans for the app. lodestone access, mail access, retainer access...

Kinda exciting in it's own right, without any specific in game perks.
