If SE were smart they'd get rid of this requirement all together (yes I've been long past this phase) -- as said, it's just a really unnecessary step when you get down to it, 1 of each? Sure, 3x is just overkill on the worthlessness. The only revision I see for this unless they completely redo some stuff mainly fall within the primal steps and dungeon steps given their natural changes in ARR.

There are a few other parts of the relic quest that need to be gotten rid of or changed.... And there pretty much are. For sure speed runs will no longer be neccisary, since its stated that speed runs will only be for ach and not items. I hope that double meld part gets killed too. As for that part *handing in stuff to this one guy for him to make it blah* I think it would be better if you craft the weapon parts and then the weapon yourself with mixture of key items found in certain places and gathered materials.

If I'm not mistaken, they said that speed-run requirements were going away for gear drops only. This would not include the relic quest. Again I may be mistaken and I may have missed something but everyone I've talked to is under the assumption that the 17-min runs are staying for Relics.

well, you can also assume by him saying 'only for achievements', that includes every other drop as well. maybe just wishful thinking tho.
