The reality is... no they can't. Yes, it is their game. Yes, they can deny service to someone if they really wanted to. But they better have a good reason because public opinion makes or breaks businesses.

Who's gonna really play a game in which the maker just up and bans people on a whim? Not me, that's for sure.

You sure seem to be up in arms. What are you so afraid of? Do you spam Leve's for 24/7 only rotating Ahjkdkjkfh with Mmkjkllhh when ones out of leve's? Afraid your only means of acquiring gil for your relics will get cut off?

ok they aer on most of the servers and they aer getting clever they are adding real names now trying to make it hareder to ban heck they are now at skullvally now and this is causing undue lag there as most of us low lv are just starting out but its affect is miniumal but has the most impact on the lv 45 caravan and making ppl lees apt to do that one so it limits us to drybone and near emerald moss so yes they are messing with our game experience more than ever yes they are giving se money over fist and not ruining the economy they are just trying to fuin the player base b4 the re launch i wish they could just ban them but they cant direct all there attention way from thire work 2 rid these sob's i do relly hope that they deal with them in remake

Sure they can, its SE's game. they can ban you one day just because they feel like it, and there"ll be naught you can do about it.

Anyways...Like I said I'm not saying kill the RMTs...I'm just simply telling the RMTs to play with a little more grace LOL.

It would be hilarious if SE actually allowed a certain quantity of them per server. Allow them to say have a LS and have a funny story around them.

But I understand that the RMTers are perhaps making it purposely evident so as to say SE I'm not trying to fake this character...it is what it is.

As far as opinions on banning or a company doing whatever it wants... It depends on a company's EULA(End User License Agreement) or TOS(Terms of Service). These two things are not the same. It depends on whether or not the law would say you own this character or you are borrowing the services and a company terminating an account due to a use or service violation.

There is potential for abuse for RMTers that have qualified for Legacy pricing...all those extra characters per server and that nice price point us loyal players of the community are getting.

But yeah...AREN'T YOU ALL SCARED??? That was all my post was about...When you are going on your merry way and dozens of nondescript characters suddenly pop out of nowhere...they don't talk, they don't respond, they are lined up...very cultish!! It's just funny...and causes your heart to tick a few. It's a lil shocking to walk up to that...I don't even want to use the aetheryte, node or play in that area when the cult of RMT appears. Though if they were allowed to stay and SE made a story out of them it would be hilarious.

SE has done a very good job of making gil somewhat of a side note for FFXIV. Requiring effort to get most of the higher end items ie Relic weapons, materia, and so forth. I can't even see how an RMTer would make much if any profit at all...

I'm thinking that something drops or it's the gil they receive. None of my friends on the LS know why either. Someone on the forums directed me to Humblehearth. I've been happy since.

I'm just passing through the different nodes to get my 20 leves per achievements...I was like all giddy running down from bloodshore and my jaw dropped when I saw all of them. I got a good laugh and took a screenie and showed my friends...I thought it was funny and posted it here. Didn't think it would end up being a full on discussion of RMTers.

they go to to Cedarwood to spam faction leve Goodwin goodgoat or something like that, the payout is usually around 15k and the mobs drop karackle fleece.

I'd like to know why whenever a player sees a bunch of characters with randomly designed names they assume they must be RMT? Has it ever occurred to people that these are characters created by traditional players or linkshells to quickly leve their own members. Maybe it's players trying to determine stats. Whatever it is... Most of them stand their doing nothing (@ cedarwood). And there is always a high profile ls player nearby (BGLS on Durandal).

You're right. It's generally not RMT. It's usually someone just farming Karakul fleece and crystals with mules.

Either way, it's still someone farming (breaking TOS or not). Not someone levelling their members. There are easier methods of PLing someone to 50.

Pretty much all 40+ cloth gear is Kfleece. It's pretty high in demand.
