What Do You Love Most About Final Fantasy XIV

Hey all, im here today to ask you, why do you continue to love and enjoy this amazingly improved game!!!! For me is has to be the dynamic armory system that i love, alongside with a amazing crafting system gorgeous graphics and pretty cool content

I really REALLY love how your equipment shows, like rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces. Oh and different color options for clothes...OH and that you can customize your character pretty well to represent you in-game. This game is beautiful I simply love it.

Yeah, no MMO that I know of anyways. Plus I really like the realism in the game.

Some do, but they aren't to the extent SE shows -- Maplestory for example shows visible jewelry especially since it's a glorified dress up game.

Yeah, I don't know much about other MMO's, I only have played Lineage II, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI, and Final Fantasy XIV. But FFXIV is the only one I'm playing now.

I've always loved this game, from the realism of the character movements to how bloody realistic the clothing looks, to the point where I could probably actually make the clothing. I love how big the areas seem, and I still remember my first time fishing off the cliffs of La Noscea, watching Limsa in the background with On Windy Meadows playing in the back. I really love the way our characters will look in the direction of things targeted. Just that little thing makes it feel like you're really the character.

GW2 has taught me that no matter how big the maps are, no matter how lively the game areas are or how much content there is or how well scripted the NPCs are, there's a complete disconnect from playing a character to BEING your character, and somehow I feel FFXIV does that better. I can only hope 2.0 continues this.

Where to begin?

- The friends I've made and the great in-game community I know
- High graphics quality and the detail of the textures and models
- Beautiful and expansive landscapes (even if there is some copy-paste, I don't mind)
- Great music
- Realistic movement of characters... This really makes it feel more like a fantasy world than just a video game
- Ability to try many different battle jobs... I've found I love jobs completely different from what I started out as
- Being able to progress at my own pace on sub-jobs while still being able to participate in endgame content on my main jobs
- Crafting items for myself and friends
