I just want to casually write up what I think about the current state of Field Operations, and also maybe a bit of ranting, maybe good feedback, maybe not, I just want to write.
I am a casual seasonal player that start at the end ARR, reach cap and finished msq just merely weeks before heavensward so I barely knew ARR endgame. Didn't do much also on 7.1+. Got back on stormblood for awhile, didn't finish, and got really actually play at the end of endwalker, through dawntrail.
You see by seasonal I mean I just got on when I see a substantial things to do in game. I did this on and off from another game that did not need a sub, pso2. I am bias with FFIX being my first FF ever, so that nail in the coffin to pso2 for me looking at NGS state.
Time and time again i see the rift on where the most player count on certain things change depending on where we are in the patch.
First couple month early expansion launch, should have lots fate grind on the new area.
Some mandatory things in between here, like alliance daily or whatever.
At the late phase of the expansion they will have something "lategame" for us to do.
I remember it was PoTD at the end of ARR. It was diadem at the end of heavensward, and then it was eureka, bozja, and here we are with occult.
Obvious thing is that, barely anyone play those past "lategame" anymore.
And the rift will just getting bigger for each expansion, I think there is no avoiding that, I think they will go on like this. We see diadem response were relatively fast, team was leaner then probably. then team got bigger, slower, deleting and revamping things got scarier.
I see FFXIV were product of its time, server were much weaker back then, so they slice it by worlds. They can't do something like bozja or occult on our world fates, because world fates ties to the world and you can't have massive cross world player back then. So they created instance integrating the worlds.
That's all folks,
Thank you for reading,
and have a nice day.
