Appreciation Thread

I just wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone at Square Enix for everything they do. From all the people at the Japan offices all the way to the NA offices and everyone else in between.

I know sometimes the job can feel thankless what with the constant pressures to deliver more with less and less. I just want you all to know that I feel how hard you all work. This game feels like heaven on me. It’s still one of the greatest fantasy experiences of my life and every single one of you has my sincerest gratitude from the absolute bottom of my heart.

I encourage other forum members to post your thanks for these wonderful people who work so hard to keep delivering the highest quality of magical experiences to us.

Please everyone no negativity, criticisms, irony, sarcasm, veiled attacks, biting the hand that feeds etc. Please I beg you, just stop yourself before you begin. Please summon the willpower to resist and refrain the urge to criticize. This is a space to celebrate the people who work hard for us every single day.

PS: I’m still in ARR but the Crystal Tower raids… WOW! I just finished Sycrus Tower and it meant so much to me that I cried so much. I can’t wait to experience the rest of this wonderful game <3 You’re all my heroes.

Leeexxiiiiii!!!! I remember completing Sycrus Tower with you and it was the most exciting, incredible raid… I was laughing and yelling and cheering, such a great experience! And I do agree, it is all thanks to the amazing team of developers who put their heart and soul into this game with the hopes that people enjoy it as much as we did. A huge thank you for creating memorable moments for me as well as a game that I will enjoy for many more years to come.

Hi Kansene! What are some of your favorite things about the game?

I’m still in the very early stages of post ARR, I have a feeling I will have to fight Leviathan just based off of the direction of some of the dungeons! I’m a tad bit spoiler sensitive but
I’d still like to know what you enjoy!

Since I'm a "returning player" (played between 2012-2015 and came back last year), I guess on top of my head is how good they design the game so that people still join old contents to help new and returning players with the story progression. I play with my wife and we take time enjoying the game (we're still doing Stormblood but we're about to break into Shadowbringers soon). My wife doesn't play as half as much as me lol but there are plenty of things to do while waiting for her. That's also an amazing aspect of this game: you get to play all the roles, whether it's fighting of crafting or gathering, with just one character. The sense of progression is very satisfying. I hope we'll catch up to Dawntrail in time for Evercold lol. We also went to Japan and visitied Square Enix stores in Tokyo, visited the Eorzea Cafe in Osaka and we loved it. Such a pity that the Cafe was kind of empty when we were there.

Honestly, some of the parts you've already seen. The buildup to the initial level 50 content is really good, even though there are parts of the community that dunk on it.
The very end of ARR just before Heavensward begins is my favorite part of the story overall even after all these expansions, so I hope you'll enjoy what's to come really soon.

And the current expansion has some pretty nice fights (speaking as a non-savage/EX player).

And I have to wholeheartedly agree on how a player can be all the roles they want! It’s so fun to be dungeon delving next to other adventurers one minute, then crafting a pair of high quality Peridot Earrings the next xD

I just finished Wanderer’s Palace Hard and… WOW the music, the story, the remixed dungeon layout, the final boss fight, it all just blew me away! I LOVE Tonberries and to see them do a jailbreak has to be my favorite moment LOL. Aside from that I’m in love with Goldsmithing and Ul’dah… I can go on and on but you get the picture xD

Aww nice nice ARR let’s go! xD lol and now you have me very excited for where I am at in the story! Okay, what is your fav leveling dungeon (49 and below) and why?? and the fact that you’re mentioning awesome fights from the current expansion has me excited like a kid again xD
