Switch2 Subscription Options

How do you know this? Because if you look at Xbox the setup is the same...soooo it would appear the issue is SE. Also of note you do not need a NSO to play the game which is better than Xbox players who now have to pay two subscriptions to play.

I don't have an Xbox to know, I have a PC and PS5, and I pay one sub, and it covers both.

Yeah, this kinda irks me. I'd much rather pay for NSO (which would have been far cheaper).

Maybe the extra price would be worth it if the game ran better than 24 fps and 720p. What were they thinking?

Quite bummed about the subscription tiers. I preordered immediately, but once I saw the "coin" based subscription scheme I cancelled my preorder right away.



I dont think the coin thing would bother me so much if you could just buy exactly how many coins you need for your sub, but with the way its set up, you're forced to buy more coins than you need in most cases. It feels icky and like a massive misstep on the part of SE & Nintendo, at least it does to me.

Anyone else out there greatly bummed by this?

SE has been extremely shady with Switch 2 players for a hot minute and it's grossing me out. They're forcing you to completely re-purchase Switch 2 versions of FFX, DQXI, and Octopath Traveler 1 & 2 at full price instead of providing a free/purchasable upgrade path.

I know people think it's Nintendo pushing this extra sub crap for a cut of the sub money but if that were the case, then a singular sub for the switch 2 would be more expensive than the other platforms and it's exactly the same. SE knows we just want to play in handheld for some content and will spend money to do it.

I didn't realize they were so hard up for cash that that'd publicly tarnish their reputation with greed for it.

Just play on normal platform. PC or Playstation. Don't play on questionable predatory platforms like xbox and switch, why even?

Pick a Rog Ally if you want portable stuff.
