Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!

I apologize for the delay in our response to your concern and sorry if you cannot log in right now.

Your symptoms seem to point directly to packet loss or bad routing nodes between your internet provider and the data center, rather than your local bandwidth speed.

Quick Fixes & TroubleshootingFlush your DNS and reset Winsock:

Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run ipconfig /flushdns followed by netsh winsock reset, then restart your computer.

Switch DNS settings: Change your IPv4 DNS addresses to public ones like Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).

Test a Gaming VPN: Because standard speed tests only measure general throughput, a routing-focused gaming tool like ExitLag or a secure tunnel can bypass the specific faulty hops causing your 2-to-5-minute disconnects.

Ensure that ffxiv_dx11.exe is explicitly allowed through your Windows Firewall and added to your antivirus exclusion list.

I hope this information resolves the issue for you. Hope to see you online!
