With the Action Skin system coming in Evercold, I am hooping for something that many others are likely hoping for too, and that is action skins that completely reflavor a job. I think this would help for certain job retention (Ninja and Bard specifically) while also getting the flavors of "classic" jobs without having to actually create them.
Some ideas:
WAR - Viking, Berserker
PAL - Spellblade/Runic Knight
DRK - Spellblade/Runic Knight, Berserker
RPR - Puppetmaster, and (for the lols) Chocobo Knight
NIN - Thief and Alchemist mix (ie like Rikku from FFX), Assassin
BRD - Ranger
MCH - Gunner, Fusilier, Corsair, whatever jobs are more gun than tinkering focus
WHM - Green Mage, Time Mage, Geomancer, Sage (but more akin to the original cntext of being a master of white and black magic, like Yhstola's sorceress job)
AST - Time Mage, Oracle, Geomancer
SGE - Psychic (this is from FFX-2)
SCH - Puppetmaster, Ranger (but more of a beastmaster flavor)
BLM - Time Mage, Sage
SMN - Necromancer, Puppetmaster, Beastmaster, Ranger (any job where you summon something big and it leaves)
RDM - Time Mage (applied in a balancing space and time sort of way), Spell Blade/Rune Knight
I am very excited for the action skin system but I am also keeping my actual expectations low as who knows how many actions will be "new" versus old stuff we just don't use anymore with updated graphics.
