Folks, we have a tremendous problem in Ranked Crystalline Conflict. A lot of people are saying it. The biggest problem isn't even finding bad behavior. We know it's there. Everybody knows it's there. The problem is trying to report it. It's a disaster. Frankly, it's one of the worst reporting systems I've ever seen.

You get griefed. You get sabotaged. Somebody throws your match. Maybe they're harassing people. Maybe they're manipulating queues. Terrible things. And then what happens? You have to go on a journey. A very long journey.

First, you open menus. Then more menus. Then more menus. You write an essay. You need timestamps. You need details. You need evidence. By the time you're done, you've basically completed a college thesis. People are exhausted. They say, "Forget it, I'm not reporting anybody." And who can blame them?

As a result, a lot of bad behavior probably never gets reported. Not good. Not good at all.

Here's what we should do:

• Add PvP-specific reporting categories. Very important.
• Let players report directly from the results screen. One click. Beautiful.
• Automatically attach match IDs, timestamps, jobs played, and participant information. The system already knows these things. It knows. Believe me.
• Add a category specifically for suspected match manipulation and intentional sabotage. We have to call it what it is.
• Give players better feedback so they know their report didn't disappear into the void somewhere.

Now, I understand Game Masters are busy people. Very busy. Probably not enough of them. Square Enix relies on automation for a lot of things. That's fine. We love efficiency. We love smart systems.

But if that's the case, then let's make the reporting process smarter. Let's reduce the paperwork. Let's reduce the headaches. Let's make it easier for players to submit legitimate reports and easier for support staff to identify repeat offenders.

Right now, reporting someone feels harder than ranking up.

If Ranked PvP is supposed to be competitive, then the reporting system should support competition—not discourage players from reporting obvious problems.

We don't need a bigger reporting system. We need a better reporting system. A stronger reporting system. A beautiful reporting system.
