Ancient Mask request as new facewear!

I am not sure what the devs have for the story of Azem, and if they are waiting for the end of all the sagas to gift us our own mask, but considering we're heading into a new threat with the force of Ethos behind us, I think it would be okay to let us have our own face mask, as a treat. They already have models for it, at least for midlander based races. Plus it is already a part of the Sophist set... so we should just have it?



It even has a few places where it can be already placed. Like as a new reward for Pandaemonium Raids or even as a simple as a bicolor gem reward in Elpis (with the simpler ktisis/shadowless variant available in Amaurot even?)

There could even be a variant dungeon or deep dungeon that happens in Elpis that they can place this in, if that is already in the cards.

(Yes I know the unsaid rule of not wearing the Sophist robes in public, the same would go for the mask.)

Since we will be able to choose specific aesthetic parts of equipment to turn 'off' in Evercold, it would be a great time to introduce an Ancient Mask as a fasion accessory.

Doesn't Ktisis drop these? Or are they still attached to hats like the HG gear?

I always thought those masks looked a little goofy outside of the Amaurotines and think something more unique or at least a slightly less... owl-looking version would be better (Azem's, maybe?) but I'm not against it. And Lahabrea's Sophist robes while we're at it, too.

No. The Ancient Mask, which I have pictures of in the post, is the mask all the ancients wear in Elpis. However I do also suggest we get the ones from Ktisis/Hero's Gauntlet as separate facewear as well, as those all take up a headslot.

They're requesting it as a fashion accessory, not a full head slot item.

We can wear glasses, why not an ancient face mask too?

Edit: Oh snap I just realized the Gridanian wood wailer masks are the Eorzean times equivalent of the ancient masks.

We don't have the true ancient mask nor do we have it as face wear where it doesn't take a headslot.
