Patch 8.X – New Content Expert+
System Overview
A new midcore dungeon roulette has been added : Expert+ Roulette.
Expert+ Roulette introduces a scalable challenge mode for all dungeons level 50 and above by applying difficulty modifiers, known as Affixes.
All Expert+ affixes and mechanics may occur at any point during a dungeon, including :
- Trash encounters
- Boss encounters
- Transitions between combat states
Important Battle Rule
- Affixes are active throughout the entire duty
- Echo is disabled
- Duties are synced to minimum item level requirements
- Dungeon layouts, enemy placements, and boss mechanics remain unchanged
- Difficulty is determined by affixes and a global environmental effect known as Ather Decay
Status : Aether Decay
All players will be affected by Aether Decay while participating in any Expert+ difficulty.
Deals continuous damage over time to all party members
Intensity varies by difficulty tier:
- Expert +1 : Low potency
- Expert +2 : Moderate potency
- Expert +3 : High potency
Expert+ Difficulty Structure
- Expert +1 : 1 Normal Affix + Low Aether Decay
- Expert +2 : 1 Normal Affix + 1 Advanced Affix + Moderate Aether Decay
- Expert +3 : 1 Normal Affix + 1 Advanced Affix + 1 Extreme Affix + High Aether Decay
Reward Structure
Expert+ Roulette features a weekly reward structure designed to encourage consistent participation without requiring daily completion.
Completing any Expert+ duty grants Expert+ Tokens.
Tokens may be exchanged for endgame gear (Savage equivalent), equipment upgrades, crafting materials, cosmetics, and other seasonal rewards. (On the release of even patches)
A weekly reward cap limits the maximum number of tokens that can be earned each week.
Higher difficulty tiers award more tokens:
- Expert +1 : Base rewards
- Expert +2 : Additional token rewards
- Expert +3 : Maximum token rewards
Note that the maximum amount of weekly token can only be obtained in Expert +3.
Daily affix rotations provide gameplay variety, while weekly rewards allow players to complete runs at their own pace without feeling obligated to log in every day.
