GCs only in main cities: Why?

Hello All

Is there a technical reason behind the fact that there is no GC representatives stands elsewhere than in main cities? Over the weekend, it's sooooo annoying.

Of course, I can do the supply & provisioning missions elsewhere, but in the end, I have to return to the GC to purchase ventures with seals, meaning costly-and-no-fun back and forth just for that.

I lack the understanding to have created - and to maintain- this situation. Was it ever discussed & brain stormed?

Sorry Lu to notice your question as I've been away from the game for a little bit, and it's great you found what you were looking for elsewhere, but really, the GCs are just old content that SE has moved away from.

There is also an important lore reason for it - the GCs are the volunteer military forces of the three cities, made up of adventurers, and so as the game has moved away from the three cities initially, and then out of Eorzea to the rest of Hydaelyn and beyond;

such as other continents like Othard, Ilsabard and Tural, and even to other worlds such as the First Shard, and even back in time to ancient Etheirys pre-sundering, the Moon and even to outer space such as Ultima Thule, there would simply be no reason or way at all to have say a representative of the Twin Adders back 12000 years in the past in Elpis for instance.

Its the price that has to be paid for taking the story outside of Eorzea.

Hello and thank you. Yeah, what you say makes sense. However, lazy me ( ) can't help it: I would love to have a GC vendor (at least for ventures paid with seals) in each of the other "main" cities (Old Sharalyan, Tulyollal, maybe Kugane, Solution 9).

We have a few representatives dispatched in the world for supply & provisioning tasks, but as far as I know, when we want to purchase ventures with seals, there is no other locations than returning to main cities.
