    So - Monk Issues,

    this most braindead melee job ever played. for first 50 levels its basically "Ooowwu shiny must press shiny button" then at 60 your like yay masterful blizt and stance management... and oooowwu shiny must push shiny button. my levels after 60-66 not seen much difference other then...holy crap tornado kick go brr we dont really have a ranged attack but we have chakra management and a gap closer. pretty nice aoe rotation. oh yah got new heal button pretty cool. so solo not really that bad

    question thou urm why do even have mantra whats this for?


    honestly dont know what gonna do with evercold. all i know is i press shiny buttons. and things die. truefully monks damage is lovely dont know what to even suggest. all i know love this job. straight to point. hurt things bad

    Well, some skills are leftovers of the old monk (Mantra is a support skill). And, he is a class.
    His design was supposed to be to attack with many, fast skills. Aside of drg was he the most straight forward one. Who allways attacks. Otherwise was he losing his lightning mode.

    The shb monk was even more braindead. And i loved him for that. I simply punshed, what moved before me.
    The current monk is even nice. You build something up. You has to watch for something (he isnt that straight anymore). And, even his Animation has now power.
    The only thing he is missing is better range.
    And, he is a class where i can not image much changes from evolved mode. Maybe a bit more positional again. And other Methode to unlock the chakra attacks. But in overall doesnt he look like to need much changes.

    your right doesnt really need much other then maybe not so much screen bloat .monk has alot huds keep track of. for most part dont really need to change much. dont know what else need to do in ever cold. having chakra unlock more often maybe do little more damage for ogcd would be nice but not alot of damage maybe like 10-30 potency nothing update cant fix . but most damage come from masterful blizt at the level am at

    Sounds like it, with the nonsensical sentences and weird nonsequitur combinations.

    I noticed LLMs struggle hard with giving information or compositing about stuff like MMOs, games that naturally changed over a long time and hence have no universal truth or even universal tone of discourse.

    What is wrong with the post?
    Maybe some words are not correct (im not that good with english). But it should hit the core.
    Mantra is a group buff skill to help healers with healing. By strenghting its power.
    Some skills had more use in gease lightning (or how the ssj mode was called).
    After the rework in shb begann, was the monk more braindead. You had nothing to keep track off. Except positional. He was straight forward. 2 3er combos perfectly in line, who flows into each other smoothly.
    In EW came than the chakra system. You lost direct access to some skills, like Kamehameha against the ground. But, had still the 2 lines combo you followed directly after each other. You dont even had many positional left.
    And in DT has the system changed again. You build up points with some skills and can than use the others as much as you has the points for it. It isnt anymore "1,2,3 .. 4,5,6, ... 1,2,3" rotation.
    You has now to keep track of your points now. Monk isnt my main class anymore (i played it mostly in shb anf first half of EW). But, when i had leveled him up to 100, had i liked the new system.

    My critic on him are mostly immersion based and minior things.
    Biggest critic is, that he can barely do anything from the distance. The few skills who can do something are time based (either need chakra or has one use and than longer cd).
    And, i dont like his weapon much. Many weapons dont fit well with the attack animations (how does he do his capoera with weapon in the hand, when they has to be on the ground). The moves looks more immersive, if you has turn off the weapons appearance (so, that he looks barehanded, maybe has a small blade, like the boznia relic weapon). But, how does you defeat weapon and gun user with bare hands? You dont has reach.
    Even the Animation looked weak. Most punches had barely visible power behind it. Dawntrail taked care of that problem. With the fire effect has the attacks now visual power.

    This is a question we've had for... ever. Mantra increases the healing the party receives, but it's never been strong enough to actually eliminate a healing spell a healer needs to toss out from 2 heals to 1. They've been afraid to buff it TOO much or else in harder fights, monk would be seen as mandatory for this bit of party utility, and so it's usually too weak to make any difference outside of maybe cases where you have weaker healers, where the party is taking excessive, but not life threatening damage, due to vuln stacks, or maybe trying to help a shield healer put out bigger mitigation.

    Honestly it would probably be a better skill if it worked more like Sabin's skill of the same name in FFVI where it could be a limited kind of esuna (maybe only for damage over time debuffs and/or paralyze) plus a small heal for the party
