    TP should comeback

    so yes I will get some hate for this but I do think TP should comeback. BUT!!!! not like how it was but something like mp is for mages it would help balance job and fights overall and keep sprint free no matter what.

    I also think that it could make ranged slightly better overall as weird as it might sound like ranged should take less TP to use the skill but with slightly less damage to I don't think people would get it but ya it is what it is xx)

    I won’t mind the use of TP bars for the actual jobs that USE TP. The MP bar isn’t needed for any of them but it’s still there for…balanced visual reasons???

    ya and I do think if it work a bit like MP it could make the game slightly more challenging to.

    making fight probably also easier to balance and also make some job probably more viable then they are now

    What would it really do? Would it be like, CDs mostly removed, instead abilities have variable TP costs and only the filler is free?

    No. It would either never run out and be irrelevant, or be an unnecessary limitation they would have to waste a ton of time trying to balance.

    Either way you'd just do what's optimal for the job.

    If it does end up being a limitation, that'd just move the optional rotation a tiny bit, someone will math out the optimal one either way. TP would only make sense if it were a randomized resource, or quasi-randomized, and that'd be a whole new can of worms.

    Say, have it be quasi-random. Chaotic-randomized. TP regenerates at a fixed rate, moves cost their CD in seconds in TP (including cooldown abilities, yes!), filler combo is always free though, otherwise CD-less skills cost 3 TP. But:
    • TP regen is halved while moving.
    • TP regen is stopped while sprinting or while True North is enabled.
    • Not attacking for >1 GCD starts rapidly charging TP so long as you also stand still (+resting animation).
    • Taking damage momentarily interrupts TP regeneration if the damage is significant enough.
    • Repeatedly using the same move within a certain timeframe keeps escalating its TP cost.

    These would (absolutely random stuff I put 0 effort into) combine into a quasi-random regeneration during bossfights that is quite unreliable. It would in turn prevent an overall ideal-DPS-rotation, but we'd still have them per-class-per-fight, of course.

    So even then, it'd not be truly workable.

    I like youre idea and of course most would be against it because all fight are around DPS tho big number are fun. But I do sadly have to say I wish debuff and buff would more important then just well mitigation or DPS buff like we could have haste a tp buffing skill and many others

    I’d prefer if just every job actually used mana so the MP bar wasn’t a meaningless UI element for like half the jobs.

    Yeah but how would that make sense lore-wise? Or is it like the pen&paper Earthdawn, we're all "mages" in a way, some of us just use that magic to enhance our physical capabilities?
