I just recently picked up the game (barely in time before it was pulled from shelves apparently). I was an FFXI veteran who ended up being an FFXIV alpha and beta tester. I abandoned the game before retail release, entirely disgusted with the way it was designed.

I re-joined recently on rumor of the 2.0 revamp, I wanted first to know what the 1.23a of 1.0 was like, and I have to say that I'm having a lot of fun. I really am enjoying myself, and I hope 2.0 doesn't change it so radically that I will no longer enjoy it.

Anyway.. for now I'm just your standard n00b and I'd love to have a group of people to chat with (and help me figure out what the heck I'm doing). My ambitions are currently geared toward leveling a healer, as that's what I did during my FFXI days.

I'm an evenings-and-weekends player in the Pacific timezone (West Coast, Canada).

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
