Jollibee x FFXIV Collab Merch BEWARE

So, I am one of the many Warriors of Light who live too far away from a Jollibee to participate in the food collab, so I was very excited to see that I could get the emote by purchasing a shirt from the collab website, COMPLEX. I put in my order on 4/22 and waited excitedly for my order to arrive.

Today, 5/29, over a month later, I've finally received the shirt I ordered. And I am incredibly disappointed with what I got in the mail.

First, let me start with the fact that the COMPLEX website lied about the quality of the shirts. The first image, saved by Wayback Machine from 4/22 vs the current description on the website today, 5/29. The original description states that the design would be screen printed and that it would be shipped within 2-3 weeks. This was then removed, and the shipping time frame was increased to 3-4 weeks. Also, no where on the listing did it say this was a Pre-Order, however during multiple conversations with support through COMPLEX, they referred to it as a Pre-Order.





Now, the shirt itself. I ordered a 4x, which is my usual shirt size. However the shirt I got in the mail is HUGE, closer to a 5x or 6x. And the design on the front is a decal, like it was ironed onto the shirt and I could just peel it off with my fingers. The shirt too is very thick and uncomfortable to wear, not that I would really even wear the shirt at all for fear of the design coming off in the wash.



I hope that people who got their orders earlier in the process got shirts that they're happy with, but this is really unacceptable.

Same. I honestly didn't have a problem with the long shipping, but the vinyl was very disappointing... I ordered both, thinking they would be screen printed, but couldn't remember why I thought that! Thanks for proving that I didn't pull that out of thin air. And yes, they are definitely sized quite large

Yeah, I saw similar negative reviews on Reddit too, and I'm wondering, can you return it because it's different from the item as not described reasons?

You might be able to get away with a chargeback on your credit card, if you used one to pay. But the "All Sales Final" part of the listing makes me think they would fight any request for a refund. :\

I didn't mind waiting as long as I did since I figured there'd be a backlog of orders but yeah, I was shocked at how... low quality the shirt is. It's heavy and not at all comfortable to wear, I wore it I think twice but it'll probably be relegated to the back of my drawer from now on. Considering with shipping the shirt ended up running me about $50, definitely would have expected something better made...

This is sad but it's what usually happens for collabs merch and quality isn't always there. I myself live in a country that cannot buy anything anyways nor get shipped, but this makes me a bit frustrated. The product says the sales are final which means you probably can't even refund the product and send it back. On top of it, the price of 40 dollars is quite much for something this bad considering that in many stores you can find excellent quality shirts for same price tag.

Yeah that doesn't look like screenprinting to me. I would definitely fight for a refund, that is junk. Worst thing that can happen is the bank says no, but with those screenshots you should win.

A friend of mine traded 30 mil for a code, which feels better than paying for this crap if you ask me.

If they can sell you a 40$ t-shirt of this quality, imagine what the other physical merch looks like.

I mean, all of SE's merch for all their games is overpriced and you can see them in photos and stuff so we've been aware for like years now.
