Pilgrim's Traverse, like all deep dungeons, use their own gear, called Aetherpool gear.

So, if your aetherpool weapon and armor are not level 43, then it may give that error in certain circumstances.

You can fix this problem by entering a lower level floor of Pilgrim's Traverse and opening all of the Silver Coffers that you see, until you reach 43 on both.
