So wait... you want either a system of leveling that players can work toward, experience story, and travel the land in a nice level oriented pace...

Or you want a level system where a player can sit in one spot, gain massive amounts of experience, take a nap, read a newspaper, kiss the wife, and come back fully leveled to blow through all the endgame content after 3 or 4 days worth of skilling up?
