Competitive (Objective Based) Play - MOBA - Bad or Good idea?

Quite, though I haven't gotten the chance to do a hamlet yet. lol However, I do play league of legends and I find this would make for an interesting idea. I just don't think it would work in a game like this, games like that need to be their own game due to balancing and etc.

That's because its free. The game itself apparently has a surprising amount of polish and balance.

Well first of all, the company keeps making overpowered things, that are later nerfed, but only after people paid money for that in it's overpowered state.
But mainly, the level of competition is what spoils it.
If you are sub par to someone, you will be called noob, and many other things, because you are "dragging the team down"
Makes for the worst community I have ever seen
