We are all aware that there will be a large scale PVP in terms of Grand Companies duking it out as well as a Coliseum sort of combat, but what if there was a third?
Looking at the new videos of the game and noticing how the Dragoon was doing a lot of movement while fighting, I was wondering if it was possible to add a MOBA based PVP content. I'm not talking about making the game go into an isometric view, or even having a steady flow of "mobs" oozing out of the base to combat the "towers", but instead having a very polished objective based PVP where getting the most kills isn't the only option to win.
I am well aware that we know almost nothing of how the PVP will play out in both the Grand Company battles as well as the Coliseum or even the new combat system itself (that video only showed so much), but having more options wouldn't hurt. No, I'm not suggesting that they should have this at launch, but maybe later down the road when they release the themed air/water expansion.
If you want a theme to go with it, maybe take some hints off of Final Fantasy VI where you had to protect Tera or the frozen esper Tritoch from the waves of the Gestahlian Empire soldiers.

If it were to be added, I believe that the players should be scaled to the same level, everybody be switched into a certain job or class (not one or the other since jobs have more skills and would outdo a class, at least in this version of FFXIV), and like in typical MOBA based combat, must purchase gear from within the event to get stronger.
Skills are a little bit touchy however. Maybe have a template for each class/job where they can only have 4 skills and not make it a players choice to select each one individually since some combinations may overpower or under-power a player.
Hopefully this sounds familiar since this is usually the case for all MOBA based games (LoL, HoN, DoTA, DoTA2, Smite). It is a tried and true formula for those styles of games and it would be interesting to see a Final Fantasy spin to it. Yoshi-P is trying to cater to the masses by streamlining this game to match the standards of MMOs, but why not add another flare to it to make it stand out? Just without the attitude from their playerbase....
