In the English version of job action descriptions, the term "a magicked barrier" is occasionally used, which does not exist in the Japanese version. All instances except Mesotes use "a barrier" consistently. If it were purely flavour text, that would be fine, but based on how it is used, that does not appear to be the case.

Uses "magicked barrier":
Succor
Additional Effect: Erects a magicked barrier which nullifies damage equaling 160% of the amount of HP restored
Celestial Intersection
Additional Sect Effect: Erects a magicked barrier which nullifies damage equaling 200% of the amount of HP restored
"Additional Sect Effect" should read "Additional Effect".

Eukrasian Diagnosis
Additional Effect: Erects a magicked barrier which nullifies damage equaling 180% of the amount of HP restored.
Haima
Erects a magicked barrier around self or target party member that absorbs damage equivalent to a heal of 300 potency.
Mesotes
Erects a magicked barrier at a select location, granting party members the effect of Mesotes and afflicting enemies with the effect of Lype when standing inside.

Uses "barrier":
Divine Benison
Creates a barrier around self or target party member that absorbs damage equivalent to a heal of 500 potency.
The Spire
Creates a barrier around self or target party member that absorbs damage equivalent to a heal of 400 potency.
Manaward
Creates a barrier that nullifies damage totaling up to 30% of maximum HP.

Uses neither:
Adloquium
Additional Effect: Grants Galvanize to target, nullifying damage equaling 180% of the amount of HP restored. When critical HP is restored, also grants Catalyze, nullifying damage equaling 180% the amount of HP restored.
The Japanese description reads as follows: "Grants Galvanize to target, creating a barrier that absorbs…" and "... also grants Catalyze, creating a barrier that absorbs …"

Eukrasian Diagnosis
When critical HP is restored, also grants Differential Diagnosis, nullifying damage equaling 180% the amount of HP restored.
The Japanese description reads as follows: "... also grants Differential Diagnosis, creating a barrier that absorbs…"

In the English version, different verbs are used: "erect" appears with "magicked barrier" while "create" appears with "barrier", and "nullify" and "absorb" are used with both. No such distinction exists in the Japanese version. Additionally, "barrier" is used exclusively for actions that absorb damage, and Mesotes uses "shield" rather than "barrier". The same is true of the French version (bouclier) and the German version (Schild).
