add steam and switch pro controller support

I would like to suggest adding official support for the Steam Controller and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in Final Fantasy XIV. Many players enjoy playing FFXIV on PC using controllers, but currently, only Xbox and PlayStation controllers are fully supported. Players using Steam or Switch Pro controllers must rely on third-party software and custom configurations, which can be less reliable and more cumbersome.


I think supporting these controllers would benefit so many players I personally love the capabilities of the steam controller and the comfort of the switch pro controller hope more platforms like ffxiv officially supports it

I second this. I extensively used a Switch 1 Pro controller and now an 8bitdo Switch 2 controller and while they worked perfectly fine (which is probably because of Steam input), it is frustrating not having accurate controller glyphs.

I very much hope with the Switch 2 release of FFXIV that, at the very least, these Nintendo style glyphs with A on the right and B on the bottom are made available on the PC version of FFXIV, just like we can currently freely choose from multiple Xbox and Playstation controller glyphs.
