I want to throw out there a chance to gain some support to have meteor's future jobs explore the physical ranged, magical ranged, or healer roles. Obviously, there are more important issues to address than what a mascot does in a trailer for the game, but we can advocate for some better role representation while also talking about other issues at the same time.
But it's hard to make non-melee jobs look interesting in trailers. Really? I find it hard to believe you couldn't make Machinist look cool in a trailer, or Dancer who's already very mobile and melee-like in nature, or magic in general. From what little action Alphinaud's gotten, Sage appears pretty dope in trailers (can't say the same for in-game at the moment but I digress).
To give an example, if we ever end up exploring the world that fell during the sixth umbral calamity, having him dawn two jobs as Black Mage and White Mage would be an incredibly thematic choice. But while gameplay is obviously what matters a lot more, it would be nice to see other roles get some love and representation in the game's marketing.
