World Stereotypes?

Hey people, i've been playing this game for a while (in NA) and i noticed that certain worlds/data centers end up having one thing in particular they're known for, like how in Primal, Behemoth is full of Brazilians; Or how on Crystal, Balmung is the main RP hub (and by proxy all other Crystal worlds since Balmung is always full). But on Aether and Dynamis all i know about them is that they're full of raiders and almost empty respectively, and have no idea if any of their worlds have individual stereotypes.

What are some world stereotypes you know of that you'd like to share?

It's mainly just Balmung and Mateus that have a stereotype. The stereotypes about Balmung were never true when I was there up until 2021, despite having existed for years prior, but I can't say about now, because being able to world visit and travel caused people interested in the stereotype to visit it and make them true. I don't know about Mateus, but since it was an "overflow" of Balmung, it got a similar reputation.

I often been told Balmung is like Vegas, it has a certain reputation, but the reputation is largely propagated by tourists and the locals are just people.

The Balmung stuff is mostly true now, I've seen people saying wild crazy stuff there in the few times I visited.

I've only "heard stories" about Balmung and Gilgamesh (one being full of gooners and the other having rampant toxicity), but it's hard to say if its actually the locals that give it those reputations, or if its visitors bringing and reinforcing the stereotypes.

I know from living on them that there was nothing particularly noteworthy about Maduin and Excalibur, I couldn't even tell you if any "famous" players or FCs existed on them.

I'll confirm that. Before datacenter travel and especially before world visit even existed, it was a fairly pleasant place.

I was going to post my Sarg stereotype but you beat me to it. The reason for Sarg having an inflated marketboard (as explained to me by older Sarg natives) is that Sarg is a surviving 1.0 Legacy server. So we should have the most players who have been playing the longest. And also a whole lot of maxed out FC subs. There is a lot of time investment in Sarg.
